If you’re not taking any action, however small, nothing is ever going to be any different that how it is right now. If tell me you want to take six months off next year and travel around the world, and I ask how you are planning to do that, would you have a ready answer? An actionable plan? (Winning the lottery is not a “plan”.)
It’s like taking a boat out into prime fishing waters but not using the rods, tackle, and fishing gear, then not understanding why you didn’t catch any fish. You have to participate, have skin in the game. Life doesn’t owe you anything. You have to have a line or two in the water. You have to create and take advantage of opportunities.
Odds will never be perfect and you might not catch anything every time you cast, and not all of what you do catch will make it back to shore. But here’s a fact you can take to the bank: if you never cast into the water, you are never going to catch anything. Except maybe seasickness. But hey, if there weren’t any risks, everyone would do it. Go on. Do something already.
It’s all about the adventure,
