The point: doing what you’ve always done and getting what you’ve always gotten is no longer a reasonable expectation. Do what you’ve always done and you’ll get left behind by people willing to adapt and embrace change in the world and in their lives. Nostalgia = good. Head in the sand = bad.
A wonderful thing about the past is we can revisit it, learn from it, and find fond (and otherwise) memories in its depths. One of the great opportunities we have today is using all those tools and memories from the past to create our desired future.
Step away from that IBM Selectric, hop into the Studebaker, and get out there and do something! (And no, you don’t get a hall pass to go antiquing this time.)
